Insights, tips and practical guidance
Check the device before installation
Confirm that your phone supports eSIM and is not locked to another carrier. Connect it to reliable Wi-Fi, update the operating system when possible and keep the eSIMDual QR code or manual activation details available on a second screen.
An installation code is normally intended for one device and may be single-use. Do not share it publicly, and do not delete an installed profile unless support asks you to do so.
Install on iPhone or Android
On iPhone, open Settings, Cellular or Mobile Data, then Add eSIM and Use QR Code. On most Android phones, open Settings, Network and internet or Connections, SIMs or SIM manager, then Add eSIM. Names can differ by manufacturer and system version.
Scan the code, follow the confirmation steps and give the line a clear label such as eSIMDual Travel. If QR scanning is unavailable, choose the manual option and enter the supplied SM-DP+ address and activation code exactly.
Choose the data line and test it
Set the eSIM as the mobile-data line. Enable data roaming for the travel eSIM when the plan instructions require it, while keeping roaming data disabled on your primary SIM. If an APN is supplied in the plan details, enter it without extra spaces.
At the destination, turn airplane mode on and off or restart the phone, then wait a few minutes for network registration. If data does not work, check coverage, the selected data line, roaming and APN before contacting support with screenshots and the eSIM identifier.
