Insights, tips and practical guidance
Choose the right plan before departure
Check every destination in your itinerary, the included data, validity period and supported networks. A country plan can suit one destination, while a regional or global plan may be simpler for a trip with several stops.
Install the profile over Wi-Fi before leaving, but first check when validity starts. Keep the QR code private, label the line clearly and take a screenshot of the plan instructions for offline access.
Activate the correct settings on arrival
Select the eSIMDual line for mobile data and enable data roaming on that eSIM if instructed. Keep your primary line selected for calls and SMS if you still need your usual number, but disable mobile-data switching to avoid accidental carrier roaming.
The first network connection can take a few minutes. Toggle airplane mode or restart the device if necessary, and leave network selection on automatic unless the plan lists a specific network to choose manually.
Monitor data and solve common problems
Use the eSIMDual account and your phone statistics to follow consumption. Video streaming, cloud backups and app updates can use data quickly, so enable Low Data Mode on iPhone or Data Saver on Android when your allowance is limited.
If service stops, confirm that the plan is active and has remaining data, then check coverage, the data line, roaming, APN and network selection. Do not delete the eSIM as a first troubleshooting step because the same installation code may not work again.
